We have been very busy this past month with a variety of activities. Primarily our focus has been getting ready for the Super bowl. We have all enjoyed making Giants and Patriots signs for our bulletin board. There seems to be an even amount of fans for both teams so we have enjoyed a little friendly rivalry. The children enjoyed counting the signs to see which team had the most. On the Friday before the Super bowl both staff and children enjoyed wearing their jerseys to program to represent their favorite teams.
The children and staff have been keeping active by going in the gym or outside every day. Recently the older children have especially enjoyed playing games like” Infinity Ball” and “Hand Ball” while the younger children are eager to play different tag games such as “Octopus Tag” and “Red Rover”.
Every year we do a community service project for different programs around the area. This year the program that we chose was the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society. The Glenmont Site was flooded with donations and the children were enthusiastic about making cat toys as well. Thank you so much for all of your support towards this great cause!!!
Since Valentine’s Day is steadily approaching we will be very busy making cards and doing theme projects around the holiday. February break is coming up soon so if you are looking for care School’s Out still has openings so you can call to office to check for availability.
