Spring has arrived and all of the children cannot wait to finally  get outside any chance they get.  The older grades cannot get enough of  the game of "Knockout", while the younger grades are itching to play  "Hide and Seek" outside on the playground.

The children will  be making various spring and summer arts and crafts projects in the upcoming  months, and look to add to our ever growing art board.

Our 2 vs. 2  Basketball League has begun the playoffs and it is shaping up to be a very  competitive championship run.  After basketball, the children will be  participating in Olympic events and be competing against all grades.

It should be a  very exciting couple months ahead of us and we cannot wait!

Schools Out Elsmere is happy to finally have spring and to  spend some time in the morning and afternoon outside. The children are loving  the fresh air and the fact that they don't have to wear a jacket. We are  playing group games on the blacktop and field while others enjoy the  playground.

Coming in June we have our first annual Storefront VS Elsmere Field  Day/Olympic Extravaganza! We are currently in the beginning stages of planning  but know that when its all done the children will have had an awesome time. We  are going to have many different events for morning and afternoon and we will  end the fun with a medal ceremony. Ask your children about it and I hope to see  them all participate and enjoy themselves.

These next couple of months are  going to fly by and I will soon have to say goodbye to the fifth graders. This  has been an amazing year and I can't wait to end the year off strong and with  some fun activities!

Happy Spring!

The warm weather is finally here and we have been taking  advantage of it! We have been enjoying whiffle ball, kickball, tennis, and  soccer games outside. We look forward to making spring crafts like tissue paper  flowers, butterfly crayon melts, and sun catchers to fill our parent board  with Our pet board is filling up and the children love sharing  photos of their furry friends with everyone.

We are excited for lots of outdoor  activities and ending the year on a great note!

Happy Spring!

Over the next few weeks we will be focusing our attention on re-doing our boards to celebrate spring!   We will be making all sorts of flowers, bugs and birds. Some of the  crafts will be used to decorate our board and others we will be taking home.

Thank you to all of the parents who have been bringing in  recycled goods! We will be using a lot of them this spring to be creative!

Please remember your sneakers for the gym! We will also be  trying to get outside as often as the weather allows, please remember to dress  for the weather.

Hello Springerlands!

Our Talent Show at the end of March was a complete hit!  Thank you so much to all of the wonderful participants and fabulous parents and  family who came out to support the children!  I am looking forward to another Talent Show in the coming years.

Spring is finally here and we are enjoying every second of  warmth and sunshine.  We have been  utilizing the outdoors in every way possible: offering snack outside on the  picnic tables, offering group games on the field, and offering free play on the  playground.  The children have been doing  an excellent job following the rules and staying safe while outside!

Something new we have incorporated into the program is the  continuous use of music throughout the morning and afternoon.  The children have been enjoying singing and  dancing along to 80s bop, and are now being introduced to 90s bop.  We hope to keep introducing more music, keep  dancing and singing along, and end the school year with a bang!

Spring is finally here!

We are all so excited to get  outside. Kickball, Capture the Flag, Soccer, and 4 Square are huge hits! We  can't wait to do some great outside art project too. Making bird feeders and  homemade chalk are just a couple that we are going to dive into. We are also getting really excited about doing a joint  Olympic games with the Elsmere site.

The end of the year is almost here, and we are looking  forward to our end of the year Talent and Award Show. Hope to see everyone  there!
